Kaizer Chiefs have officially confirmed the departure of winger Tebogo Potsane as part of their ongoing squad reshuffle ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
The club made the announcement on their official social media platforms on Monday, stating that the two parties have “amicably parted ways” as the team intensifies preparations for the new season. Potsane’s exit comes after a year-long stint with Amakhosi, having joined the Glamour Boys in 2023 from Royal AM.
The 31-year-old winger struggled to cement a regular spot in the Chiefs’ starting XI, with injuries further limiting his impact during his time at Naturena. Despite showing flashes of potential, particularly in the early stages of his Chiefs career, consistency and fitness proved elusive, and his contribution was restricted to a handful of appearances across all competitions.
Chiefs, who have signaled their intent to undergo a significant squad overhaul under the leadership of coach Nasreddine Nabi, appear to be clearing the decks to create room for new signings. Potsane’s departure is among the early moves as the Soweto giants aim to rebuild a competitive side capable of challenging for honours in the new season.
No further details were provided regarding Potsane’s next move, but the experienced winger is expected to attract interest from several DStv Premiership clubs seeking an attacking option with top-flight experience.
His exit brings an end to a brief chapter at Naturena, and both parties now look ahead to new beginnings.
