Orlando Pirates have confirmed an exciting pre-season tour to Spain as part of their preparations for the 2025/26 season. The Soweto giants will take on four European clubs in what promises to be a valuable test of the squad’s readiness for the new campaign.
The Buccaneers will face the following teams during their Spanish tour:
- 11 July – Bolton Wanderers 🇬🇧 (England)
- 13 July – Pafos FC 🇨🇾 (Cyprus)
- 17 July – UD Las Palmas 🇪🇸 (Spain)
- 19 July – Granada CF 🇪🇸 (Spain)
The high-profile friendlies will offer Pirates players a chance to test themselves against different tactical systems and levels of competition, while giving the technical team an opportunity to refine strategies and assess squad depth.
This pre-season marks another step in the club’s ambition to establish itself as a competitive force both domestically and in continental competitions. Facing European opposition in Spain is expected to boost player confidence, fitness, and team cohesion ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
The tour also reflects Orlando Pirates’ continued commitment to international standards in preparation, development, and exposure.
