Orlando Pirates and adidas Launch Bold Limited Edition Third Jersey Inspired by Soweto’s Orlando Towers

Betway Premiership

Orlando Pirates Football Club and their long-time technical partner, adidas, have officially unveiled a striking Limited Edition Third Jersey that pays tribute to one of Soweto’s most iconic landmarks the Orlando Towers.

The new kit represents more than a fresh design; it’s a creative statement that celebrates community, pride, and artistic spirit. According to the club, the limited-edition shirt marks “a bold new chapter in South African football design and culture.”

Symbol of Soweto Pride

The Orlando Towers, once part of a decommissioned power station, have become an unmistakable symbol of Johannesburg’s township identity known for their vivid murals, bungee jumps, and cultural heritage. The new Pirates Third Jersey captures that same energy, with patterns and textures inspired by the towers’ distinctive artwork.

In doing so, the Buccaneers and adidas have created a shirt that connects football with local art, bridging the worlds of sport, community, and creativity.

Debut Under the Lights at Orlando Stadium

Fans won’t have to wait long to see the new look in action. The players are set to debut the Limited Edition Third Jersey tonight when Orlando Pirates face Magesi FC in the Carling Knockout Quarter-Final at Orlando Stadium.

With the Buccaneers chasing silverware on multiple fronts, the new jersey serves as a symbol of ambition and unity, blending modern design with deep cultural roots.

Limited Availability from 14 November 2025

The Orlando Pirates Limited Edition Third Jersey will officially go on sale from 14 November 2025, available in very limited quantities at adidas stores, select retail outlets, and online at adidas.co.za.

Given its exclusive nature and cultural significance, the jersey is expected to become a collector’s item among both Orlando Pirates supporters and South African football fans alike.
