Stellenbosch FC has officially confirmed the departure of Kenyan defender Brian Onyango, bringing an end to his brief spell at the club following the conclusion of his one-year contract.
The Cape Winelands outfit announced the news via their official website, thanking the experienced centre-back for his contributions during the 2024/25 season.
“Stellenbosch Football Club can confirm that Brian Onyango has departed the club following the expiration of his contract,” the club stated.
Onyango, 30, joined Stellies in July 2024 after leaving Mamelodi Sundowns, where he won multiple trophies including the African Football League title. At Stellenbosch, his game time was limited, but his presence in the squad brought valuable depth and leadership.
