Stellenbosch FC have officially announced the departure of long-serving midfielder Sihle Nduli, bringing an end to a successful three-year spell in the Cape Winelands.
The announcement came shortly after Orlando Pirates confirmed that Nduli will be joining them ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Nduli leaves Stellenbosch as one of the club’s most experienced and decorated players, having made 104 appearances across all competitions. He is one of only ten players to reach the 100-match milestone for the club.
During his time at the club, Nduli played a vital role in winning the 2023 Carling Knockout Cup and reaching the final of the 2024 MTN8. He was also key in helping the team secure consecutive qualifications for the CAF Competitions—an historic achievement for the club.
One of his standout moments came in last season’s Confederation Cup quarter-final, where he scored the winning goal against reigning champions Zamalek. His final appearance for the club came in a Cape derby against rivals Cape Town City, where he captained the side in a fitting farewell.
Stellenbosch FC have thanked Nduli for his contributions and leadership over the years and wished him success as he begins his new chapter with the Buccaneers.
