Orlando Pirates have officially announced the signings of seven new players as part of their preparations for the upcoming 2025/26 season. The additions come as the club begins its preseason programme aimed at building a competitive squad for the challenges ahead.

The new signings are:

  • Yanela Mbuthuma – from Richards Bay
  • Nkosikhona Ndaba – from Richards Bay
  • Masindi Nemtajela – from Marumo Gallants
  • Tshepang Moremi – from AmaZulu
  • Sinoxolo Kwayiba – from Chippa United
  • Tshepo Mashiloane – from Baroka
  • Sihle Nduli – from Stellenbosch

These players will report for duty alongside the current squad as the club kicks off its preseason schedule. The opening sessions focus on medical evaluations and fitness screenings—key steps in shaping the squad’s physical readiness for the long season ahead.

In addition to fitness protocols, the new players will undergo a formal induction process. This includes interacting with club legends such as Edward Motale, Lucky Lekgwathi, and Happy Jele, helping the newcomers connect with the legacy and culture of one of South Africa’s most historic clubs.

A symbolic visit to Orlando Stadium, the spiritual home of the Pirates and a key landmark in South African football, also forms part of the players’ orientation. With integration now underway, the real tactical and technical work will begin next week under the guidance of the coaching staff.

As the Buccaneers look to build on past campaigns, this early investment in squad depth signals serious intent heading into the new season.
