Kaizer Chiefs will travel to the Netherlands in July for a key pre-season tour, with two friendly matches already confirmed against strong Dutch opposition.
The first test will be a closed-door match against FC Utrecht on July 11, 2025. Though fans won’t be allowed to attend, the game provides a vital platform for the technical team to analyze player fitness, try new formations, and assess tactical structures.
The very next day, July 12, Amakhosi will go head-to-head with NEC Nijmegen at Sportpark De Passelegt in Gelderland. This fixture will be open to the public, offering South African fans living in Europe a rare opportunity to watch the Glamour Boys live.
Chiefs will be based in the Netherlands from July 3 to July 19, using the European environment to fine-tune preparations before returning to South Africa for the start of the 2025/26 campaign.
