Limpopo is set to become the centre of attention in South African women’s football this weekend as the Hollywoodbets Super League Amplified festival heads to the newly refurbished Oscar Mpetha Stadium at the University of Limpopo in Mankweng.
The two-day football showcase takes place on Saturday, September 19, and Sunday, September 20, 2026, bringing some of the country’s leading women’s football teams to Limpopo.
Following an action-packed single-venue round in Pretoria, the festival format makes its way north for the second time this season, giving local supporters an opportunity to experience top-level women’s football on home soil.
Admission is free, with fans also set to enjoy live entertainment and a range of matchday activations.
Super Era and Super Rise Battles Take Centre Stage

Defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies remain among the leading contenders in the Super Era, with the University of Pretoria (Tuks) and University of the Western Cape (UWC) also competing strongly.
In the Super Rise stream, JVW FC have established themselves among the teams leading the charge, with University of Johannesburg (UJ) and University of Fort Hare also looking to make their mark.

Sundowns Ladies vs Tuks: The Headline Clash
Sunday’s 11:30 encounter between Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies and the University of Pretoria (Tuks) is set to be one of the weekend’s biggest attractions.
The fixture brings together two sides competing at the top end of the Super Era, with both teams expected to approach the encounter with plenty of ambition.
Tuks will look to build on their recent performances and the contributions of players such as Siyamthanda Qashani, while Sundowns Ladies will aim to demonstrate why they remain one of the dominant forces in South African women’s football.
The battle could come down to tactical organisation, midfield control and the ability of individual players to make decisive contributions in the final third.
For supporters in Limpopo, it is an opportunity to watch two high-profile women’s football teams go head-to-head at the University of Limpopo.
