Marumo Gallants have unveiled Alexandre Lafitte, the 28-year-old French coach, as their new head coach, signaling a fresh and ambitious start for the club ahead of the upcoming 2025/26 Betway Premiership campaign.

Lafitte arrives with a strong coaching background, having developed his skills at Paris Saint-Germain’s youth academy and led Stade d’Abidjan to success in the Ivorian top flight. Despite his young age, he has already demonstrated tactical maturity and a progressive style focused on attacking football and player development.

Taking over from Abdeslam Ouaddou, who recently left for Orlando Pirates, Lafitte is set to inject new energy and vision into the Gallants’ squad. At the official unveiling, he expressed confidence, stating, “Age is no barrier when there is respect and commitment between coach and players.”

Club chairman Abram Sello shared his enthusiasm, emphasizing the club’s commitment to backing Lafitte fully as they aim for stronger performances and growth this season.

As Marumo Gallants prepare for pre-season training under Lafitte’s guidance, supporters are hopeful the fresh approach will translate into success on the pitch in the highly competitive Betway Premiership.
