Florida, 19 June 2025 – Real Madrid has confirmed that star forward Kylian Mbappé has been discharged from hospital after receiving treatment for acute gastroenteritis.
The 26-year-old was admitted after experiencing severe stomach-related symptoms, which ruled him out of Real Madrid’s opening Club World Cup match against Al-Hilal. The match ended in a 1–1 draw, with Mbappé’s absence clearly felt in the final third.
Following a short stay under medical care, Mbappé has now returned to the team’s training camp in Florida. According to the club, he will continue his recovery under medical supervision and follow a personalized treatment plan.
While his availability for the upcoming Club World Cup match against Mexican side Pachuca remains uncertain, the forward’s condition has improved significantly.
Real Madrid will continue to monitor Mbappé’s progress before making a final decision regarding his involvement in Sunday’s key fixture.
