Kaizer Chiefs have officially confirmed the departure of midfielder Mduduzi Mdantsane following a mutual agreement to terminate his contract.
The Soweto giants released a statement on Monday, June 23, 2025, confirming that the 30-year-old will leave the club with immediate effect. Mdantsane, who joined Amakhosi in June 2023 from Cape Town City on a three-year deal, struggled to make a significant impact during his time at Naturena.
Mdantsane was loaned out to Richards Bay in January 2025 in search of regular game time. However, his stint there proved equally challenging, as he featured in just three matches, all as a substitute, totaling just over 30 minutes of play.
His exit forms part of a broader squad overhaul at Chiefs, as the club prepares for the upcoming 2025/26 season under renewed ambitions. Several other players are also expected to exit the club as part of the rebuild.
Mdantsane, once a standout performer for Cape Town City and Baroka FC, now finds himself a free agent and will be weighing his next move in the Premier Soccer League or beyond.
