Cape Town City FC have reintroduced SportPesa as their front-of-jersey sponsor, marking the return of the brand to both the home and away kits.
SportPesa previously sponsored CT City from the 2017/18 season until 2020/21, before being replaced by Direct Axis Loans in the 2021/22 campaign. Following their relegation to South Africa’s second tier, the club then partnered with FNB from 2022/23 until last season.
The return of SportPesa is a welcome boost for The Citizens, as they aim to strengthen their presence both on and off the field while competing in the Motsepe Foundation Championship to secure a place back in the PSL.
The move signals a renewed commercial and sporting ambition, with SportPesa bringing back its support to the club, reigniting a familiar partnership that once played a key role in CT City’s rise in South African football.
