The wait is finally over for the Amakhosi faithful. Kaizer Chiefs, together with Italian sportswear powerhouse Kappa, have officially unveiled their much-anticipated home and away kits for the 2026/27 Betway Premiership season.
Launched under the inspiring campaign theme “The Kingdom Rises,” the new collection celebrates the fourth year of the partnership between the club and Kappa, blending Kaizer Chiefs’ proud football heritage with modern African-inspired designs and contemporary streetwear influences.
The latest kits are more than just match-day attire. They represent identity, culture, and the continued evolution of one of South Africa’s most iconic football brands.
Home Kit: A Modern Tribute to Gold and Black Heritage
The new home jersey delivers a bold yet elegant interpretation of the famous Glamour Boys colours. Staying true to the club’s traditional bright gold foundation, the shirt features subtle geometric patterns inspired by traditional Zulu shields, representing strength, unity, and protection.
Adding a nostalgic touch, thin vertical black pinstripes run across the front of the jersey, complemented by solid black shoulder panels and a refined fold-over black collar.
The result is a design that pays respect to Kaizer Chiefs’ history while embracing a modern lifestyle aesthetic, a shirt that looks equally impressive in the stadium, on the streets, or among the club’s passionate supporters.
Away Kit: Inspired by the Power of the Lion
While the home kit celebrates tradition, the away jersey represents ambition, confidence, and the hunger to conquer.
Built around a bold midnight-black base, the away strip features striking gold and dark grey zigzag patterns across the chest, creating a powerful visual inspired by the flowing appearance of a lion’s mane.
The design is completed with gold shoulder details, a clean V-neck collar, and a premium silicon club crest placed proudly over the heart.
The jersey carries a subtle connection to some of Kaizer Chiefs’ most memorable visual eras, including the iconic styles associated with the 1989 and 1992/93 campaigns, while delivering a fresh and modern identity for the next generation of supporters.
Advanced Performance Technology and Sustainability
Beyond the eye-catching designs, Kappa has incorporated advanced performance technology into the 2026/27 collection.
Both the official player jerseys and supporter replicas feature HYDRO-WAY PROTECTION fabric technology, designed to improve breathability, regulate body temperature, and quickly move moisture away from the skin during intense match conditions.
The new range also highlights Kaizer Chiefs and Kappa’s commitment to sustainability, with every thread used in the manufacturing process produced from recycled materials, aligning the collection with global environmental efforts.
Expanded Options for Amakhosi Supporters
Recognising the diverse needs of the club’s massive fanbase, the 2026/27 collection introduces more options than ever before.
Long-Sleeve Editions:
For the first time in recent seasons, both home and away jerseys will be available in limited long-sleeve versions for adults and youth supporters, providing an ideal option for colder match days.
Women’s Specific Fit:
The home jersey will also be available in a tailored women’s fit, designed to offer female supporters a more comfortable and stylish option while celebrating the growing presence of women in the Amakhosi family.
